Art Exhibition
More Events
Join us for the launch of Lough Sheelin, the history, the legends, and the lake today - an immersive exhibition telling the story of Lough Sheelin through art, film, storytelling and music.
This exhibition includes art from local schools, and artists Colette Kearney and Kim Gaffney. Harp music composed for this project by musician Barry O’Reilly flows throughout a video created by Dimitry from Jago Studios.
The video features local people sharing their knowledge and stories of the lake, along with beautiful footage of the secret jewels of Lough Sheelin, the islands rarely seen, unveiling the ruins of a castle and a monastery.
The exhibition is located in The Oratory exhibition space on the top floor of the museum, and will be on long term display. Kindly funded by Creative Cavan.
