In 1968, local woman Mrs. Phyllis Faris displayed her fine collection of clothing and other artefacts for public viewing in a disused pighouse at her home in Cornafean. She donated much of her collection to the Cavan County Museum in 1996.
The exhibition currently houses a selection of outfits ranging from a delicate wedding gown to a military dress uniform and reflects the finery and detailed craftsmanship of garments worn by the elite Anglo-Irish aristocracy of this period.
