The WW1 Exhibition

This exhibition considers the events of WW1 through the stories and personal effects of several Cavan men who served during the conflict. It features the medals of Sir Oliver Stewart Wood-Nugent of Mount Nugent; memorabilia relating to Charles Moore, who was killed at the battle of Langemark in August 1918, and letters and artefacts relating to William O’Reilly, who died in October 1917.  The WW1 gallery also includes a number of artefacts recovered from the site of the Battle of the Somme.
