This exhibition contains a wide-ranging collection of farm implements relating to people's working lives in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, including threshing machinery, ploughs, turf cutting equipment, a mangle, and quern stones.
An excellent audio-visual display focuses on the work of Ned Gavin, a famous Cavan cooper, whose tools and barrels are also on display. A recreation of an old-style thatched cottage and kitchen helps to bring this popular display to life.
