Cavan County Museum will open on Easter Saturday 31st March from 10 am to 5pm. The museum will be closed on Good Friday, 30th March, on Easter Sunday 1st April, and on Bank Holiday Monday 2nd April 2018
To mark the centenary year of the end of the First World War, Cavan County Museum is launching a dual walkway in its grounds to commemorate those lost in the conflict.
Cavan County Museum was delighted to win the Chambers Ireland 'Excellence in Local Government' award for Commemorations and Centenaries 2017.
A large piece of Bog Butter, weighing 10 Kilos and estimated to be over 2,000 years old, was brought to Cavan County Museum, having been found in a nearby bog.
